By creating an account or using Mangoku in any capacity, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Mangoku is a free, community-driven platform for tracking, rating, and discovering manga, manhwa, manhua, and anime. The library is built from public metadata APIs and community contributions. We do not host chapters, episodes, or any copyrighted media. We only store metadata such as titles, covers, synopses, genres, and credits.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. To access or contribute NSFW content or join 18+ groups, you must be at least 18 years old. By confirming the age gate, you confirm you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that misrepresent their age.
You are responsible for your account and everything done through it. Keep your credentials secure and do not share your password.
You may optionally link your Discord account to sync your profile and stats with the Mangoku Discord server. Linking is voluntary and can be removed at any time from Settings.
By submitting content (comments, posts, edit suggestions, cover images, related title votes, or group activity) you grant Mangoku a licence to display and store that content on the platform. You must not submit content that is:
Your list entries, statuses, and ratings are yours. They may be visible to other users on your public profile if your reading list is set to public. Community ratings shown on title pages are aggregated averages derived from all user ratings and do not identify any individual.
Groups are community spaces you can create or join. Group owners are responsible for moderating their group and ensuring it complies with these terms. Groups marked as 18+ may contain adult content visible only to users who confirm their age. Do not post NSFW content in groups not marked as 18+.
When you upload images (avatars, banners, group post attachments, cover suggestions) you confirm you have the right to share that content and that it complies with these terms. Images are stored on Cloudflare R2 and are served publicly. Do not upload copyrighted material, explicit content outside of designated 18+ spaces, or images of real people without their consent.
The Mangoku Discord bot allows server members to add titles to the library by posting a MangaDex or AniList link in a watched channel. By using this feature you confirm the content is appropriate for the library and does not violate these terms. The bot also provides leaderboards and profile lookups using data from linked Mangoku accounts.
Metadata is sourced from public APIs including AniList, MangaDex, Kitsu, and Jikan. Reading links on title pages point to third-party sites we have no control over and are not responsible for. Their own terms and policies apply.
Mangoku is provided as-is without any warranty. We do not guarantee uptime, data accuracy, or that the service will remain available indefinitely.
We collect only what is necessary to operate the service. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings under the Danger zone section.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. Significant changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page.
